Fish swim with bootless labour against the tides all the time. I want to be able to swim against mine too, while preserving myself.

Friday, November 17

Where did I disappear to? Can't seem to find myself, just feels like I'm falling deeper into that bottomless pit of wretchedness. What a terrible reflection when I glance into the mirror, it's a monstrosity. What a regressive relationship.

I fought for this for the longest time, and I've finally caved in. Did I imagine you?

Full of effort I forced my lids
As I focused on you
Stranger, you sat down gently
You made us sway
So we ascended steadily
I felt your wandering gaze
I turned around and you just smiled
Twas all it took

Were you fallen
We're falling deep with ease
We watched the colours fly us by
I was hypnotised
The purple night sky littered with stars
And time crawled by

Right at the top the cool breeze blew
You looked straight in my eyes
Our fingers laced up we held on tight
Stranger, feel my heart
Clockwise the ferris wheel turned
Helplessly we went south
Valid only for one ride
Said the ticket man

Were you fallen
We're falling deep with ease
We watched the colours fly us by
I was hypnotised
The purple night sky littered with stars
And time crawled by

It jerked, disturbed
I awoke in an instant
Cold and alone
Did I imagine you
